Malibu High School Theatre Fall Musical Production
Xanadu, the musical, an outlandishly enjoyable stage spoof of the 1980 cult classic film of the same name. The story of a Greek muse, Clio, who descends from Mt. Olympus to Venice Beach, California, in 1980 on a quest to inspire a struggling artist, Sonny, to achieve the greatest creation of his life - a roller disco. But when Clio, disguised as an Australian roller girl named Kira, falls into forbidden love with the mortal Sonny, her jealous sisters take advantage of the situation, and Clio risks eternal banishment to the underworld. Filled with memorable pop hits of the 70's, this musical-comedy is sure to please audiences of all ages.
Reserved seats for Xanadu are $20 for adults and $15 for students/seniors, and can be purchased in advance on the school website.
