OLWEUS Bullying Prevention Program Questionnaire

28-Jan-2017 Dear Malibu High Families,

As we did last year, Malibu High will be conducting a multiple-choice questionnaire as provided by our partnership with the OLWEUS Bullying Prevention Program and supported through the School District.  It is an anonymous survey and all schools in our District will be participating.
The questions address topics such as:
·     How frequently are students acting aggressively or being the targets of aggressive behaviors?
·     What types of negative behaviors are most common at Malibu High?  Where do these incidents occur?
·     How often do students seek adult help in these situations?
·     How responsive do students feel adults are in these situations?

Malibu High students log into a site with a randomly generated user name and password.  The findings overall are reported to guide us as we consider next steps in furthering our physically and emotionally safe and nurturing environment.
Again, the survey is anonymous, confidential and voluntary. No names or any other identifying information is connected to the answers of the survey.  The survey will take place during your child’s English class on February 8 and 9.  Your student’s opinion and knowledge of our school climate is very important to us as we strive to make Malibu High an even better place to be.

The survey is available for parents to view in the main office if desired.  If you or your child DO NOT want to participate in the survey, please email me at p.miller@smmusd.org before February 6th.  The surveys will be administered on February 8 and 9.
