SCHOOL NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

12 ANGRY AMERICANS: ALL
The High School Theater Department will present, "12 Angry Americans" on April 27, 28, 29 at 7:00pm and April 30 at 2:00pm.  "On a hot summer day after a long trial, a jury must decide whether a 16-year-old boy is guilty of murdering his father. The jury votes 11-1 that the boy is guilty of the crime, but laws in the United States require a unanimous vote by all 12 jurors in order to pass judgment. Tempers flare as the eleven jurors try their best to convince the 1 dissenter to come around to their side. As the evidence is re-examined, however, new uncertainties come to light, forcing everyone to truly question if there is in fact some measure of "reasonable doubt". Twelve Angry Americans, written by Reginal Rose adapted from his 1954 teleplay of the same title, is a heightened courtroom thriller that puts you on the edge of your site while powerfully exploring what it means to live in a democracy."  Buy your tickets and get more information here.

TEACHER APPRECIATION: ALL
Teacher Appreciation Week is May 8-12, 2017. We can’t wait to #ThankATeacher with you!  This year’s theme is “Teachers Deliver.” And they do! Teachers deliver so much to our students—inspiration, motivation and, ultimately, their futures. From May 8-12, 2017, we would like to celebrate teachers and deliver our thanks and gratitude to them.  Teachers change the lives of millions of children every day, and their work and impact extends far beyond the boundaries of the classroom.   Join us during NationalPTA Teacher Appreciation Week to #ThankATeacher for all that they deliver to our nation’s children.  This is not the time for large gifts, but rather small thank you's to ensure teachers know the impact they have had and the appreciation we have for them.
