MONDAY MESSAGE AUGUST 28, 2017

SCHOOL NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

WELCOME TO THE MONDAY MESSAGE: ALL
The Monday Message is a weekly email created for parents and includes school news, announcements, a calendar and details about upcoming events.  The Monday Message is sent via email to all parents on Monday mornings and posted online at http://malibuhigh.org/news_monday_message.  If you are not receiving this message via email, please contact Laurie Morgan at lmorgan@smmusd.org to be added to our mailing list.  We are always looking for ways to improve school-to-home communication.  If you have any suggestions and/or would like something included in the Monday Message, please email Hillary Weissman at hweissman@smmusd.org.  We welcome items from staff, students, parents and the wider Malibu community.

TRAFFIC SAFETY, DROP OFF AND PICK UP, PARKING AVAILABILITY: ALL

Please visit the school website Malibu High School - Home for a detailed outline of drop off and pick up locations.  We encourage parents and students who drive to school to leave early, pick up late, and plan ahead for traffic.  We will continue to discourage parents from dropping students off on the long drive way but rather in the front of school.  Please keep in mind:

  • Drop off and pick up is still located at the front of the school.  The gates have been moved back to accommodate this process.

  • Students who are dropped off in the front drive should use the designated walkway along the fence.

  • Students who are dropped off on at the curb should exit cars from the passenger side only, never on the driver’s side of the car.

  • Students should enter campus from the theatre gates.

  • Students should check with Mr. Greene about purchasing passes for on campus parking.

  • Please remind students to obey posted traffic and speed limit signs when driving in and around campus.  One accident is one too many!
