COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER NEWS

COLLEGE AND CAREER OFFICE (MS. NGUYEN): SENIORS

As seniors start their final year in high school, there are a few things they will want to plan ahead for.  Many will be applying to colleges this Fall and that process can be overwhelming and stressful.  Students are encouraged to stop by the College and Career office to make an appointment for some assistance/support.

Parents of Seniors: Although most seniors have already completed and submitted their college applications, I know some students are still working on getting those applications submitted. Since we will be on winter break for two weeks and school will be closed, if your son or daughter want to apply to a college that was not already listed in their Naviance account, please have them add the college in Naviance AND in Common Application. Once this is done, please send me an email to let me know the colleges have been added and I can send transcripts and letters of recommendation on my end. Most regular application deadline will be early to mid January so I would complete applications sooner than later. If you have any questions or concern regarding the college application process, please email Ms. Nguyen at lnguyen@smmusd.org.
