MONDAY MESSAGE: March 19, 2018

Dear Shark Families and Friends,

This year is flying by and there is only one more week until Spring Break.  Spring break is always a great time to take a moment to relax and spend some quality time with your loved ones.  From the great scholar, Plato, “You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.”  Take these two weeks that the students have off and spend some time having fun with them. Hopefully students will use this time to recharge as when we return we will be quickly getting into state testing and then AP testing.  Following this will be the last leg including finals and the end of the celebrations for promotion and graduation. It will all come too quickly so rest up!

We have a major retirement announcement.  Mr. Greene will be officially retiring at the end of the year, but he will be taking his well earn time off for most of the rest of the year.  He has been with Malibu High School for 22 years as campus security. We are grateful for his dedicated service and care for our students. Mr. Greene will be here for graduation to see our seniors off one last time.  We wish him the best of luck in his next chapter.

Have a great week and go Sharks!

Cheli Nye, Ed.D.

Principal, MHS
