Catching up with Deputy Jake: Middle School

For red ribbon week last week, Deputy Jake was here doing activities with all our 8th grade students.  For a summary of his activities, please click here:  Malibu MS 8th – Catching Up With Deputy Jake

From the Juan Cabrillo Elementary School: ALL

Attention all students, after dismissal please do not walk through the Juan Cabrillo campus.  This can cause a disruption to the educational setting of the campus.

From the Attendance Office - To all parents and  students:

When students are sick, they must report to the Nurse's office to check out. If the student does not go to the nurse's office and they end up leaving campus the school does not know that the student has left. The student is unaccounted for and the periods that are missed are marked as an unexcused absence.  Please wait to contact your parents after you have checked in with the nurse. This is our school protocol and policy.

From the School Nurse Office: ALL

Any student who comes to school with a cast, crutches, boot, sling etc. - MUST have a Doctor’s note to be on campus.  The note must state what the injury is, what the treatment is and the length of time the student will be restricted.  This also applies to head injuries or concussions.   If there is no MD note, the student cannot be on campus until the doctor’s note is obtained.  See the Nurse with the note when you return to school.  This is District policy.

James and the Giant Peach,  Malibu High School Musical: ALL

James and the Giant Peach, The Musical is a delightfully offbeat adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl adventure that tells the fantastical tale of a young English orphan boy, his insect friends and their amazing journey across the ocean on a giant piece of fruit. Featuring a wickedly tuneful score by the Tony Award-nominated team of Pasek and Paul (Dogfight and A Christmas Story the Musical) and a curiously quirky book by Timothy Allen McDonald (Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka, The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley), James and the Giant Peach is now a musical for the whole family to enjoy! Critics rave: James and the Giant Peach is a “masterpeach!"  Click here for the flyer - James and the Giant Peach
